Walked through the cemetery and seeing all the stories buried there, many having lived a life shorter than I. I can’t help but wonder: Did they expect this? Did they see their death coming? Did their sixth sense alert them that their death was around the corner, thus to prepare? These, & many more questions have driven me to two thoughts on life:
1. Honor and respect God, and follow His will and direction for your purpose on earth. Be after God’s own heart, and pour yourself onto this earth. When your time to transition shall arrive, you will be ready and will die empty, having fully poured yourself and emptied your cup into this earth. You will have stamped yourself and made a difference in people’s hearts; isn’t that what life is about anyway?
2. Since you’re already here, you might as well give everything you care about your all, you might as well follow the dreams God placed in you. Live like a child; forgive and let live. Allow yourself wild abandon. Burn your ships as you pursue your dreams, for there lies your purpose, and fullness of joy. Live in the NOW; don’t spend most of your time working too hard to be a “future you” that so much passes you by; live in the moment and absorb life. Truly live, enjoy the experience. And isn’t that why we were placed here in the first place?
